Installation: You may use a T-mold between your From The Forest engineered hardwood floor to laminate, vinyl, tile or cork flooring. This molding should always be fastened to the sub floor using an industrial strength adhesive or a brad-nailer. A rule of thumb to follow is that the two surfaces should be within +/- 1mm of each other.
T-Molds may require professional craftsmanship when installing the product based on your requirements for transition. Some examples of this craftsmanship include needing to shim under the molding or using a plainer/power tool to cut the trunk of the mold or the bottom of the "T."
Do not use a T-mold to transition your flooring to carpet, otherwise it may snap or break. Here is a visual example of why you should not use a T-Mold to transition onto carpet:
The recommended molding to transition from engineered hardwood flooring to carpet would be a square nose or a reducer.
